    Advanced Leadership Program (ALP):

    The Advanced Leadership Program is a critical initiative for the organisation. The program revolves around hiring and developing candidates for senior management positions from premier B-Schools across the country such as ISB, XLRI, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta. Once selected, each candidate goes through a customized training and assimilation program for a period of one year.

    Since the incumbents form the next line of leadership for the company, the selection ensures that only the candidates with the right mindset and yearning for doing a lot of high quality work in a fairly young organisation are selected. The key criteria for selection are:

    • Attitude and drive to make a difference regardless of constraints
    • Energy and passion to build a business
    • Inclination to work for a young and emerging organization
    • Visible leadership qualities
    • Ability to deal with complexities and work in a tough environment

    Accelerated Management Development Program (AMDP):

    With an intent to build the future leadership talent pool, a comprehensive program called the AMDP was instituted in the year 2011. MBA and Engineering Campuses with best talent available, commensurate to the compensation offered are visited. For selection, a mini Assessment Centre is organized - comprising of group discussions, presentations, multiple rounds of personal Interviews, written test etc.

    The AMDP candidates are then taken through an intensive cross functional training of 6 months before their On-The-Job assignment. In our experience, the AMDP members have played a critical role as conduits of our intended culture. The AMDP hiring process is quite rigorous. The candidates are assessed by multiple panelists from the ACT Leadership Team and the final selection happens only when ALL the panelists agree on a candidate. On completion of hiring the candidates are added to e-groups for them to keep in touch and engage with the other AMDP members. They are also sent periodic updates about the company to instil a sense of belonging even before they physically join the organization. They are also assigned buddies (from the previous AMDP batches), Mentors and Project guides (from the leadership team) to help them during their one year learning plan. Since its inception in 2011, we have hired 120 managerial candidates through the AMDP program.

    Along the lines of the highly touted and successful Accelerated Management Development (AMDP), YPDP picks the brightest of fresh talent from across campuses and provides them an unprecedented opportunity to enter the professional world and chart a course towards success.

    After clearing the stringent criteria, the hires are put in an extensive training program which prepares them for the rigor that awaits them. They are provided the opportunity to take up a varied set of responsibilities, carry out day-today operations and be and active part of a young and dynamic organisation. In a short span of time, they experience cross-functional operations and get to learn about various job profiles.
